If you see a picture of a plane along side the advertisement saying everyone is smoking anywhere: "beware" this company will say anything to sell you the product including lying. You cannot just use an electronic cigarette anywhere for several reasons.
Case in point, many european airlines such as British Air, etc. have banned the use of electronic cigarettes on an airplane. (the ecig has been available in Europe for over six years). Although TSA currently has not restricted the ecigs the U.S. based airlines will probably take the same actions made by European based airlines once the ecig becomes more popular here in the United States.
Many blog's point out that some people have simply used a electronic cigarette in the airplane bathroom (as vapors do not effect the smoke detector) instead of trying to use it in the cabin, this may be one of the main reasons U.S. based airlines have not officially reported on the issue since many choose not to use it in plain view.
Business owners have rights to refuse service, you can also expect future local and state legislation regarding the use of an electronic cigarette in public and private venues. Currently no laws are in place which does not make it alright to smoke (vap) anywhere. Blog's have pointed out that many e-cigarette users especially at work choose to take a break in the bathroom or other private area's as vapor is virtually odorless and leaves no smoke, this may be one of the main reasons no corporations have banned it.
The electronic cigarette industry is fairly new in the United States with a few pyramid scams already surfacing. Please take a moment and always make that extra goggle search to double check who you are getting your electronic cigarette from. The right product works well but there are lesser models that might send you right back to tobacco cigarettes.
